Hollywood’s
most loved couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have called it quits on their marriage. Even though it has been
reported that the couple has been having issues
for the greater part of this year, this turn of event
remains a shocking one as fans expected them to re-enact Disney’s happy ever
after theme in their marriage.
The sad news which was broken by TMZ states that the actor
and director cited irreconcilable differences as the cause for the split. The
couple who met and fell in love on the set
of Mr. and Mrs. Smith have been together since 2005 and married in 2014.
In a statement made to People magazine,
Pitt said:

I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the wellbeing of our kids. I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time.”
Angelina Jolie has supposedly
requested for physical custody of their six children, allowing Pitt visitation
rights. She is not asking for spousal support. The date of separation is listed
as 15th September 2016.
